Born and raised in Southern California, Christopher has been a creative thinker since the beginning.
His father and grandfather were natural artists, so it did not surprise his folks when he showed early potential for the same. As a teenager, Christopher made extra money by painting holiday window designs on small storefronts in town. Later in high school, he was introduced to film photography and computer aided graphic design. The creative process was fascinating and inspired Christopher to pursue a creative education.
He attended Southwestern College to study graphic design and it was there he was exposed to typography, art history and web design. After earning an Associates Degree it was time to further his education in Los Angeles. Chris studied at Art Center in Pasadena and then Otis College of Art and Design while working at a small boutique agency.
In 2001 he was hired as the in-house graphic artist for IHOP designing their training, human resources and shareholder materials. Chris grew the position to begin intercepting work that would otherwise be sent out to larger agencies. Then in 2005 Grubb & Ellis brought him on to design the marketing materials for their LA metro area. During that time Chris began to take on more freelance work and eventually he made the call to officially start "cdh design".
Since then companies in Australia, Germany and New York have hired Chris for their design needs. His work has been seen in Wired magazine and used in advertisements for Hitachi, Myspace and Barns & Noble. He's helped direct smaller brands toward their goals and assisted in larger brands improving theirs.
